Lube Rural Territory, located on both shores of Roja River, is one ofnorthernadministrative territories of Talsi Municipality. It borders with Īve Rural Territory, Valdemārpils Rural Territory, Dundaga Rural Territory of Dundaga Municipality and Roja Rural Territory of Roja Municipality. Most densely populated areas of the rural territory are Anuži (centre of Lube Rural Territory), Lube, Sārkaste Lubeskrogs, Popervāle.
When in 1945 Ārlava Parish was disbanded Lube Village Council was formed. In 1954 Lubezere Village was added to Lube Village, but in 1965 territories of Lube Village were incorporated in Valdemārpils Rural territory. In 1990 Lube Village was reorganized to Lube Rural Territory and in 2009 it was incorporated in Talsi Municipality.
